The mystery box promised exclusive items that you can't purchase within the game, making it even more enticing to open one of these things. In fact there are more than one mystery box. So far I have counted 5 and there promises to be a new one every month. The original mystery box had the following items: Red Bicycle, Stripped Rest Tent, Lounge Chair, Picnic Table With Cloth, Fire Pit, Tree With Swing, Hot Tub and a Golden Gnome. Each of these items gives you XP from 30 to 200 depending on the item you get. The latest one is a Farmville silver mystery box which contains the following items: Toy Chest, Holiday Gate, Golden Fountain, Gold Sleigh, Tinsel Tree and Platinum Gnome. They will all give you XP from 100 up to 450.
Farmville Mystery Box: Is It Worth It?
A mystery box will start at 15 Farmville cash and go up from there and it doesn't seem to get less expensive. The items in there are indeed exclusive and it might be worth it for that extra touch to make your farm stand out from all the others. The items will give you XP, but apart from that they are only decorations. Should you buy it? I would say buy it if you have a lot of Farmville cash lying around, if not, they might not be worth it. Don't spend your only 15 Farmville cash on this as there are better things you can buy for 15.
